DealBridge: The Capital Readiness Network for Real Estate
Year 1 (2025-26)
by Jordan E Moore
DealBridge is a qualification-first real estate platform that strengthens community access to homeownership while delivering agents and investors a pipeline of verified transaction-ready clients.
About This Idea
I’m building a platform that modernizes the home‑buying process by qualifying buyers and sellers before they enter the real estate market. Many people don’t fail to buy a home because they lack potential—they lack financial readiness, guidance, and a clear understanding of lending and real estate. The Capital Readiness Program creates a qualification‑first pipeline that identifies serious participants and connects them to agents through a structured, data‑driven system.
The industry’s biggest inefficiency is simple: most leads aren’t ready. Agents spend most of their time chasing unqualified buyers, sellers often misunderstand their equity, and lenders receive incomplete applications. This wastes time, reduces trust, and disproportionately affects first‑time and underserved buyers.
My solution flips the model. Participants start in the Capital Readiness Program, completing a financial sensitivity and qualification assessment that builds knowledge and determines readiness. They then move into the Capital Connect Lending Track, where they’re paired with a loan originator or financial professional who helps produce a certified pre‑approval or seller readiness package.
Once verified, participants enter the DealBridge App, which uses their readiness data to match them with the right real estate agent based on price range, location, and needs.
This system reduces wasted effort, increases successful transactions, and creates a clear, supportive path to homeownership and real estate investment. It brings transparency, efficiency, and equity to the Kalamazoo community by ensuring everyone—agents, lenders, buyers, and sellers—operates from the same verified information
Where Did This Idea Spark at WMU?
This idea sparked at WMU as I connected my work as a mortgage loan originator with my finance education and real estate internships. I saw too many motivated buyers denied simply because their finances weren’t understood or properly structured. Through coursework, financial literacy workshops, and hands-on client interactions, I kept seeing the same gap: unprepared clients, overwhelmed agents, and no clear pathway to homeownership. WMU gave me the analytical foundation and real-world insight to design a solution that closes this gap.
Impact in Kalamazoo
If this succeeds, Kalamazoo benefits across the entire housing ecosystem. Buyers, especially first-time and underserved residents, gain a clear supportive pathway to homeownership. Sellers receive serious, pre-approved buyers rather than uncertain interest. Real estate agents save time and increase conversion rates by working only with verified clients, while lenders receive complete, accurate applications from participants who have already been educated and screened. Community organizations gain a scalable tool that supports economic mobility and reduces housing barriers. Overall, this platform strengthens Kalamazoo by improving efficiency, trust, and access for every stakeholder involved.
How Investment Helps
Funding will allow me to launch the first functional version of DealBridge and fully implement the Capital Readiness Program and the Capital Connect Lending Track in Kalamazoo. With investment, I can hire a developer to build the Minimum Viable Product, create financial readiness and sensitivity assessments, formalize lender partnerships, and run a structured pilot with local residents. This investment strengthens economic mobility by preparing more residents for homeownership, while offering investors clear ROI through a more efficient, data-driven pipeline that reduces wasted time and increases successful transactions. Success in Kalamazoo will position the platform to expand across Michigan, scaling the model to additional communities. The first milestone is a pilot cohort of 25–50 participants to validate the system and generate real-world outcomes.
